We may be in the dog days of a Baton Rouge summer but the latest hair trends for fall 2015, are super-hot! Cooler temperatures, less humidity sassier fashions, you can almost taste fall in the air, as long as you’re reading this in front of air conditioning. The runways were full of inspiration, and not just the avant-garde, instead, there were tons of approachable, everyday looks that we adored. We look forward to the next season and want to share our favorite trends that we’ve found fresh off the runway.
The Low-Profile Pony Tail
The pony tail is super sophisticated this fall and was featured on the runway by many designers from Michael Kors, Dior, Nicole Miller and many more. Gone is the cheerleader pony tail, which could gain great heights, this fall it has been replaced with the low-profile, minimal height, and glamorous pony tail worn sleek or messy.
No more sleek French twist this fall, it was been replaced with looser versions of the once classic “do”. Immediately embraced by the downtown crowd, the new twist is young, fresh and held with a bold ribbon or hair pin. Designers at Chanel, Hermes and Diane Von Furstenberg used extensions, braids and showed many versions of this new twist on a classic updo.
Pick a Side
Another thing we noticed was the trend for a deep side part. It doesn’t matter which side you pick as long as you go deep and bold with a part like the Red Sea. Models for designers Balmain and Sonia Rykiel were exquisite pushing the side part trend to the limit.
The Unfussy Middle Part
It’s back and better than ever the unfussy middle part. Pair the return of this trend with loose cascades of waves and it’s reminiscent of the look you achieve going to bed with wet hair. Once again simple, everyday looks seem to be setting the stage this fall.
The Wet Look
Whether it was worn long, luscious and tousled or pulled back in a long, slick pony tail, another trend spotted during the shows was the popularity of the grunge or wet look.
Hair accessories are back with a vengeance and the headband is no exception. From black leather, glitter pink, any texture you could dream up, the headband is the perfect option when you want a simple, no-fuss way to keep your hair out of your face while still looking like you put in a little effort.
Before you race off to your Beauty Bar colorist and get the same old color, take a look at some of the hot new color trends for fall, and spice it up for a change.
A low-maintenance, soft blend of blonde and brunette which looks to be huge for fall.
Instead of color blocking your wardrobe, you can Color-Block your hair. While there are drastic roots, you get the same drama and effect as if you color-blocked your outfit.
Single Process Brunette
Also turning up this fall is the ever powerful single process dye job in a blackish-brunette hue that is sure to make heads turn.
Don’t forget the ever popular lived-in highlights, which can allow you to wait as long as six months before visiting your colorist as long as you can live with the roots.
Auburn is always a fall favorite, but this season the hue is a tad deeper, richer and more coppery.
Platinum blonde makes quite the statement in cooler months, tone it down a notch with an ultra-frosty double-process blonde that still packs a punch but easier on your roots.
Candy Dip Dye
Pastel dip-dyes will be an unexpected pop of pastel during the colder months, so add a little color for a fun twist.
This fall looks to be an exciting season for hair styles and colors where your imagination sets the limit. Show off your new “do” in Baton Rouge this fall! Isn’t it fun to be a woman in 2015?
